The 26100 Gen 3 is CP’s Hi-Tek Rotary Nozzle, comparable to other leading rotary nozzles and designed specifically for insecticide and fungicide aerial applications on fixed-wing aircraft. It produces droplets in the 150–200 micron range and offers two flow rates, giving operators flexibility to dial in the right output for their application. Due to its design, the Hi-Tek Rotary is not recommended for herbicide applications.
Flow rate is controlled by the combination of an orifice plate and ball valve selected at the time of ordering. Hardened stainless steel orifice plates are available in sizes from D4 (.063″) through D14 (.219″), flowing 0.5 to 6.2 GPM at 40 psi. Ball valves are available with or without shut-off in sizes from .041 to .219. The orifice plate must always be larger than the ball valve to accomplish the dual rate system. The nozzle mounts using either the 26117 2-1/2″ U-Tube Mounting Kit for 2″ Transland booms or the 26119 3″ U-Tube Mounting Kit for 2.5″ Transland booms.
Transland recommends pattern testing whenever changes are made to equipment. Operation S.A.F.E. clinics offer Pattern Deposition Analysis to help calibrate equipment to optimum performance, find optimal swath and droplet size, and solve equipment problems before starting a new season.
